There wasn’t much of Summer weather down on the pier, on Wednesday evening 13th July, with a cool breeze and bits of rain. But that didn’t deter ninety seven swimmers competing in the two Around the Harbour races. The Youths were up were first with a 700 metre swim, sponsored by Anne Corcoran, with prizes for the first five places. Rhian Drennan swam a great race to take first place, just ahead of Ken O’Grady in second, Aoibhe Drennan was third, with Eve Cowdrey forth and Aoife Dunne in fifth position.
