t’s been another very busy week for the Wicklow swimming club, with races starting on Tuesday 12th August. The annual “Black Castle” swim attracted a large crowd of ninety two swimmers for the Cullen & PV Reilly cups. Gus Cullen and Theresa Sheekey were on hand to present the prizes, respectively; Cullen cup; 1st in the mens race was Darragh Phelan followed in 2nd by Colm Corrigan and 3rd Andy O’Brien. While for the womens PV Reilly cup; 1st was Kathy Owens, 2nd was Nora Dunne and 3rd Linda O’Neill. Gavin McInerney had the fastest overall time while Mary Burbage was fastest for the ladies.
