Racing wason Thursday night last week, there was a full tide and calm conditions for the Youths and Senior “Around the Harbour” races. The seventy five senior swimmers had a longer route around the harbour for their race in a sealed handicap race, sponsored by Patrick Doyle. There are traditionally two cups for this race, the McArdle and the Spina Bifda cups. Ruth Moore won the McArdle cup, with Aileen Hogan second and Sharon Forrestal in third place. Damien Leonard won the Spina Bifda cup, with Frank Smith in second and Cian Molloy in third place. Amy O’Brien had the fastest overall time while Patrick Keogh was fastest gent home.
