Wicklow Mayor, Mr. Pat Byrne, last night bestowed Honorary Life Membership upon Miss Betty Fitzpatrick and Murt O’Connor in recognition and thanks for the service and support that they & their families have provided to the swimming club over many years.

It was fitting that the presentation took place at the season ending Swimming Gala, which had a fantastic turnout and great excitement for all concerned.     There was a huge turnout of swimmers, who have enjoyed a great training programme over the winter, and the improvements were there for all to see.

Clearly the swimming club is going from strength to strength and builds upon the foundation provided by all those like Betty and Murt.

Congratulations to Betty and Murt ….. a well deserved honour!!!
