The week started on Tuesday 17^th July for the swimming club, when eighty six seniors raced for the “Around the Harbour” cups, with following results for the Men: 1^st Bru byrne, 2^nd Mick humby^, 3^rd Paul Vize and the Ladies: 1^st Aisling Beacom, 2^nd Karen Sheeky, 3^rd Karen O’Brien.

On Thursday 19^th July the Intermediate Bay Relay, for the Conway cup, was held. The blue team were the fastest on the night and they consisted of: Mia Cowdrey, Harri Armstrong, Ann Molders, Ciara Weadick, Luke Corcoran, Niamh Fitzpatrick, Sadhbh Kelly, Oisin Nolan.

The same night the Senior men and women’s 100 yard dash was held. Fastest man was Simon McClane and the fastest lady was Aimee Armstrong.

Sunday 22^th July 11has been another busy day for Wicklow swimming club, the juniors started the morning off with the Junior Sprints, with following results:

U8 boys 1st Harri Armstrong, 2nd Charlie Brennan, 3rd Michael Mooney.
U8 girls, 1st Laura Griffen, 2nd Robyn Johnston, 3rd Amy Jane Sillery
U10 Boys  1st Ben Hudson, 2nd Niki Molders, 3rd Dylan O’Donovon
U10 girls, 1st Robyn Brennan, 2nd Dirrean Drennan, 3rd Mia Kristiansen
U12 boys, 1st Christopher Hudson, 2nd Ben Griffen, 3rd Oisin O’Neill
U12Girls, 1st Rhona Lennox, 2nd Ruby Vambecks, 3rd Caoimhe Molloy.

The Youth’s race was over a course of 900 metres with following results: 1^st Ciara Weadick, 2^nd Hanna Blake, 3^rd Emma O’Brien and 4^th Ronan Conway.

The intermediates competed for the Mark Dunne memorial cup, which saw Ken O’Grady take 1^st place, 2^nd Connor brennan, 3^rd Eoin Shreenan.

The senior swimmers raced for the “Phil Healy” Cup. This cup was presented to the club in 1968 by Phil Healy, and has been kindly sponsored by the Healy family ever since. Sunday was a very windy morning; but even so, ninety seven swimmers took part in this swim, with the following coming out on top: 1^st Pat Brennan, 2^nd Tracey Kinsella, and 3rd Cliona Byrne.
