This past week saw the start of our midweek races once again, on Wednesday the 2nd of July one hundred and ten senior swimmers competed for the Ral O’Brien memorial cup, this race was 1300 metres long and proved to be a very tough swim. The backmarkers put in a great swim to take all the honours; 1st Emma O’Brein, 2nd Thomas Keogh and 3rd Emer Kelly. Emer Kelly also took the overall fastest time prize in the race while Thomas Keogh was the fastest of the gents home.
