The annual Masters Vartry, kindly sponsored by the Byrne family, followed the Youths race and had a large entry of 61 swimmers. In the Ladies race Kathryn Fox was the winner, with Ann Schrader in second and Deirdre Fitzgerald in third place, while in the men’s race Jia was the first man home, with Paul Vize in second and Paul Fox in third place.
